My Story
Born in Milan in 1966, Italy, I originate from a family of artists illustrators. From the age of 16, I started to work for the family business, a greeting cards and illustrations company. I was introduced to Savitri of Sri Aurobindo in my childhood through my Grand-Mother, Yudi Cozzi. With her, I translated it into Italian, and have been passionate about and inspired by the epic Poem Savitri ever since. All along my life, I created pieces of Art and illustrations related to Savitri and was able to dedicate more time to it from 2015 onwards.
Parallelly, I created my own characters: Papui, Elei and Sa. Papui is a little boy of European origin, who looks at India and life in general with a new look, his aim being to discover the great treasures which hide behind ordinary life, to discover its essence. In constant search of Beauty, Joy and Truth, Papui is guided by his invisible friend, the little sun you will always see at his side, which he also calls « SomethingElse ». Elei and Sa came along the way, his companions from another epoch, the vedic times in India…
Both worlds, the world of Papui and his companions and the world of Savitri have now joined to give birth to “Savitri for the Golden Child”, all created digitally (on i-pad Pro) in aquarelle style, for the Joy of the inner Child in all of us.
